Kory M. Rickett

Bath – Kory M. Rickett, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at his home due to complications of diabetes and kidney disease.
He was born in Portland on September 11, 1980, a son of Terry and Christine M. (Caron) Rickett.  He attended Westbrook schools and worked at several jobs, but landscaping was his passion.  He loved to talk about his time in landscaping and his knowledge of flowers.
He married his best friend Amanda Gattuso on June 10, 2006.
Kory enjoyed warm summer days at his family’s pool having lobster bakes, he loved his cats who were like his children, listening to music, watching wrestling, The Patriots, Boston Red Sox and going on long drives with his wife, stopping to eat at his favorite restaurant, The Clam Bake.  Kory loved all his nieces and nephew like they were his own.  Everyone who met Kory soon came to realize he was the most kind and caring person you could ever meet.  Helping anyone in need, he loved the color purple, though he denied it every time he was asked, and his sister said, he was a big teddy bear.
Kory was pre-deceased by two sets of grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 24 years, Amanda, his parents, Terry Ricket and his wife Lynn, his mother, Christine Waterhouse and her husband John, his sister, Kasey Villaneuva and her husband Erik, their three children, Kailey, Sophie and Onalee who all called him ‘Bubby’, and on his wife’s side he is survived by his niece Arianna, with whom he was very close with, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of life will be on April 13, 2024, at the elks club in Portland.  Time is TBD.  Arrangements are by Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High Street, Bath.  Condolences may be made online at www.DaigleFuneralHome.com.
